Finding your way around EvalGate

The EvalGate web app has two main areas: the sidebar on the left and the main panel on the right. Everything you do happens in one of them. A screenshot of the EvalGate workspace showing the sidebar on the left and the main panel on the right.

The sidebar

The sidebar is how you move between features. It has these sections, top to bottom:
  1. Workspace switcher — change workspaces, open settings, invite people, and sign out.
  2. Quick access — press Cmd + K (Mac) or Ctrl + K (Windows) to run any command, or press / to search across traces, evaluations, and prompts.
  3. Navigation — links to the home page, evaluations, traces, prompts, scorers, dashboards, and deployments.
  4. Records — your evaluations, datasets, and review queue.
  5. Insights — failure topics, trajectory analysis, and online monitors.
If the sidebar is in your way, click the collapse icon at the top to hide it.

The main panel

The main panel shows the content for whatever you selected in the sidebar. Every page has a menu in the top-right corner with settings for that specific page — for example, managing an evaluation’s cases or a prompt’s versions.
What you see in the menu depends on your permissions. Admins see more than members.
